Self-Portrait, Acrylic Paint; 24"x18" 17 hours.

EDIT as of 2/3/05: I changed the picture to a better one, sorry if this shows up in your devwatches again.

EDIT as of 4/19/05: okay, so that picture was too dark after all... and it's bugging me so i'm changing it back. sorry if this is in your devwatch again, just ignore it.

I've found a new love, and his name is painting...

this is much better in person than this pic will allow you to believe.
I think I might change it later.

for now I'll sleep; and stop commenting on my own work... o_o

You just love those alien-like people, don't you? Wonderful atmosphere in the painting, I like the combination of the warm, yellowish lighting and the lonely darknes...if you know what I'm getting at.

Awsome painting, but your right about the photo, you need to do a bit of munipulation to make it look better. Not like changing the picture compleetly, but bringing out the colors, hilights/shadows, and also trim the border so you dont have some other imagie behind it. so you see the paintings nothing else. If you need help with the cropping and cleaning of the photo, you know where i live, you know my opperating system, my phone#, and ya........... just come over whenever and ill help you clean the internet image up.

Psh. I took the picture hastily in the middle of the night. It's just that I wasn't standing on-center... and the picture is of the painting tilted a tad. Oh, and my compy skills own yours, clifford. Even with my crappier computer. If I wanted to mislead the people, I'd do just that. *hiss*

wow, a little mean of me...

The colors are really close. But why manipulate traditional art? I'd rather have it right in actuality. It's the painting I'm showcasing, not a manipulation of a painting...

mhmm. And you can see the highlights etc. better if you full-view.

And yes, I love them. Love them, the majestic aliens with the long neck; Tefton, they're called. Though they have divisions within themselves...
